Dr. Heather Strock
After joining our office a few years ago, Dr. Strock has become an integral part of our team. “Future of Dentistry has embraced me as an associate and I’m very excited to be on a team that takes great pride in delivering excellent dentistry with exceptional customer service. Dentistry is a field that brings challenges, but it also brings us the opportunity to meet amazing people,” says Dr. Strock.
A graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Strock distinguished herself in many areas. Her volunteer experiences are especially close to her heart. During her last year in dental school, she accompanied a MEDICO expedition to San Pedro Sula, Honduras. “Practicing dentistry in Honduras was a life-changing experience,” she says. “People would wait in line half the day for dental treatment, and I was grateful to be able to provide it, even under the most extreme conditions."
Dr. Strock also gives back during her personal time. She is a charity bicycle rider whose fundraising efforts include the Pan-Mass Challenge. Future of Dentistry’s involvement in the community made the practice a perfect fit for her. She is also thrilled to be part of the practice’s ongoing effort to provide dental education by partnering with local schools and organizations. Dr. Strock moved to Wakefield a few years ago and considers herself lucky to have found a home in such a warm and welcoming community. “At Future of Dentistry, I strive to build long-lasting patient relationships based on honesty and trust,” she says.
Dr. Adam Gart
Dr. Gart earned his DMD from Midwestern University after completing his undergraduate studies at Sacred Heart University with a degree in chemistry. Between his sophomore and junior years in college, Dr. Gart spent a month shadowing a family member, who is a dentist in France. “That’s how I found my calling,” he explains.
Ranked in the top 10 of his class academically, Dr. Gart earned the School Award for Implantology, the School Award for Oral Surgery, and a Section Award for Excellence in Patient Care. His ability to combine compassionate care with topnotch technical abilities makes him a perfect fit for Future of Dentistry!
Dr. Gart’s time at dental school included a mission trip. His team provided free care to residents of a village in the Dominican Republic. Due to lack of access to dental and medical care among the residents, he dealt with many restorative and emergency cases, including extractions and fillings.
Dr. Gart is excited to be part of the Future of Dentistry team. “As a doctor, I believe that personalized care is essential to oral health. I knew I wanted to practice at Future of Dentistry when I saw that the team is always dedicated to putting the patient first.” Dr. Gart speaks French as his second language. A Massachusetts native, he is an “outdoors type” whose hobbies include tennis, skiing and hiking.
Dr. Svetlana Christin
Dr. Svetlana Christin has been practicing dentistry for nearly a decade. She earned her DMD from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, after first receiving a DMD from Samara State Medical University in Russia in 2009. While earning her degree as a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, she was a dental assistant and an ICU/cardiology nurse.
The focus for Dr. Christin is not only treating a specific problem, but guiding her patients to healthier smiles they’re proud to show. “Healthy gums, healthy teeth – that’s my rule for my patients,” she says. She is experienced in a variety of treatment, including surgical, cosmetic and restorative.
Dr. Christin’s interest in the dental field began early, partly because both her parents and grandparents are doctors. When she showed an interest in becoming a doctor, her family suggested she specialize in dentistry.
Medical school gave her a chance to try out different specialties, and she quickly determined that she wanted to pursue dentistry. It was a perfect fit because she enjoys interacting with people, has a talent for hands-on work, and is passionate about health. “It’s a good combination,” she explains.
Through Boston University, Dr. Christin became involved in a volunteer program. Project Stretch provides dental care to underserved communities. The program focuses on children, providing pediatric care such as sealants and fluoride treatment. “It’s an amazing program,” she says. “It’s very rewarding.”
Dr. Christin and her husband Slava are the proud parents of two young sons, Leo and Henry.
